Dreaming of the Work...

TERESA - So it is official. I dream everything I do! Ahhhh there is no escaping it! The other night I found myself talking while half asleep and saying "It's important to teach lessons not people." (It’s really supposed to be the other way around too). But this is the second time that I've done this! The first time I had only been out a week and I think I said something like, "Why would it be important for you to know that the gospel is true?" haha Can you believe that?! It happened with Gyros (the haunted house), it happened with working as a hostess in the restaurant, and now it's happening with the mission!! I can't seem to get away from whatever I’m doing A LOT of. haha This is so funny to me. And my companion is always like "What?” And the funny thing is that I realize what's going on; I’m just too tired to be like "Oh sorry about that, ignore me" haha. But she doesn't care because she's so out of it that it doesn't even register that it shouldn't be happening. She says, "Somehow, even in our sleep, we are still companions." Well I guess this proves ultimate unity!

Anyway, Helen got baptized and confirmed! It’s been wonderful! Oh and also, Sis Nelson and I were recruited to work on a wedding for a girl in the ward. She hated the original decorating ideas everybody else came up with so Sis Nelson and I had no idea how to fix it. It was bad; this young bride was in tears! So we prayed for inspiration and it totally worked! We came up with an idea to cover the walls with fabric to create a sort of "tented" look. She loved it! She said we saved her wedding! Wow, I know this may sound silly but the power of prayer really works. I know this was for a trivial thing for maybe all of us but to her this was important. And Sis Nelson and I were at a complete loss on how to redecorate. I mean really, absolutely NO ideas at all. But when we prayed, it was like it came instantly! It was just a nice experience and taught me quite a bit! haha

Mom, I gave Yvonne the letter you had written and the talk as well (thank you so much by the way). She was surprised that I would do something like that for her, that I would ask my mother to write her a letter. When I gave her the letter she actually got tears in her eyes and thanked me for it. I know she really appreciated it and I know your words mom will help her so much.

So Steven and Erika got married! YAY! Tell them congrats! The wedding I worked on was actually the same day as his and it was fun cause I felt like I was in the wedding spirit and sort of a part of his too! It was nice to be involved and reminded that way. I’m so excited to hear how the open house goes! I love you family and I am praying for you everyday! Thank you sooooo much for the LOOK bars mom! And the 4th of July banner, I’m so excited to use them! I love you! And thank you for everything!

Pride & Prejudice

RACHEL - Hey family!

I bought a memory card reader so hopefully by the time I'm done with this letter I will have time to put some pictures on!

I went to Lyme Park last P-day and it was amazing! That is where they filmed some of the Original 6-hr long Film that BBC had of Pride and Prejudice! It was great! I didn't get to go inside but I walked around the grounds! It was really beautiful! Hopefully my pictures will do it some justice! Today we are actually going with a senior couple to Knutsford to where we might get to go through one of those mazes! I am soo excited for that; it should be a really good time!

I loved getting your letters this week! I loved every single talk mom; I even already gave out two copies of "Do Not Despair" thank you for that so much! If you could keep ‘em coming I would indeed be grateful to you! I loved the family testimonies too, they are really inspiring and I appreciated them. I would love to see more pics too if that's at all possible! It was so moving to read about Teresa's investigator and your response I know will help her greatly.

I even got a letter from Danny in Carlsbad! How nice is that?! So nice to hear about what’s going on with him and I hope to write him back soon! I was also lucky to receive a postcard from The Mays! They are so thoughtful! I have a postcard to give them back but since I don't have their address I am sending it to you :)

Also and its official, My companion Sister Bowen knows Teresa's companion Sister Nelson! haha It is such a small world! Sis. Bowen didn't even know that Sis. Nelson had decided to go on a mission! Well I guess she knows now! But Sis. Bowen will be leaving me this next week and going back to Idaho. I honestly feel like I just became her companion and that I didn't get enough time with her! I still have sooo much more I need to learn! But even though she's leaving I'll get a new companion and since I met all of the sisters they all are very sweet so there is no need to worry about the next companion I will have. I will most likely be staying here in my area for sure so you can still keep sending letters to my address!

The Investigators we are teaching are good ones especially this Mom Caroline and her Son Kyle who is 13. He is smart and once he saw the Restoration DVD instantly he said we wanted to be baptized! He has such great enthusiasm about the gospel and has already had his friends come over for one of the lessons that's 14 and now is interested in the church! They are both very smart boys and have good heads on their shoulders! We are excited for them and Caroline who also wants to be baptized! Now all they have to do is come to church! Which will be this next week!

Simeon is another investigator we have. He has a baptismal date on the 17th of July! He is from Trinidad and is going through some financial troubles... He really wants to be baptized and we are trying to help him not to loose hope. He is a good person and is trying to do his best and he knows the Saviour knows how he feels and that knowing that, that can give him greater comfort.

Mayrose is another one. She is single mom who has two very young girls, they are from India and we met her on the street and then a couple minutes later were invited to her home and taught her the first lesson! She believes in Christ but also this Hindu belief in this man named Christiam... its interesting but we invited her to church and she fell in love with it! So hopefully she will still be committed to being baptized on the 17th of July! Hopefully all goes well with them all!

So England lost in the World Cup... yeah no one was too happy about that here. We definitely stayed inside for that game and weren't allowed to proselyte because they would all be drinking anyway.

I thought I would mention how since I have come here, I have been discovering new smells that I have never smelled before. I could still do without them! It's awful some of the living conditions most people live in and needless to say the odor leaves something to be desired. I don't think I will miss those smells when I leave here ;)

My companion and I are going to be singing at a funeral this Thursday, so I hope that goes well. "Because I Have Been Given Much" is what we were asked to prepare. I never thought that I would be asked to sing at a funeral on a mission but I guess I should expect anything while being here!

Well I tried to put pictures on but I have to restart up the whole computer and I won't have time for that, so sorry! Hopefully next week!

But I just wanted to say that I am so grateful for you Mom and Dad for all that you have done for me in my life and all the love and support you have given me. I never realized until now being out here how blessed I am to have the opportunities and love from my family that I have in my life! Thank you to all who has supported me and my sister, we are so grateful to you!

Teresa's First Baptism!

Hey Mom and Dad!

I got the letter from Lauren! Thank you soooo much for reminding her that we are out here! hahaha It was really nice to hear from her. And also I got a letter from Danny from Carlsbad! Isn't that nice of him? I was really surprised when I got it.

I got the shirts, Trish thank you! They are great! And don't worry, I won’t ask for any more shirts haha. I also got a Look Bar!!! I was soooooo excited when I got it!! Thanks mom, it felt like home! hehe And I definitely HAVE noticed the letters every week and I totally appreciate them!! I love hearing from you on a regular basis! Thanks mom, you are the best!!

Happy Father's Day Dad!!!! I hope it was a good one!

I just barely used my Debit card today and I we were taken out to a charming little tourist town today! I got a whole bunch of souvenirs :) And the Redfords (an older couple in the Ward who took us) bought tickets for us to go in the Scone Palace! They are soooo nice!! It was a waaaaay fun day. Very refreshing let me tell you! (I told Teresa how much her purchases cost with the Exchange Rate!) Oh my goodness. That is really bad! I only took out 100 pounds and that must be the awful exchange rate! Geeesh! Sorry about that, but I have to withdraw money somehow! Hmmm, that really lame, I'll try to be wary of that from now on....Thanks mom!

Wow, I didn't know I still had one last pay check. Thanks mom for taking care of that! By the way, how much was it?

Only a week till Steven and Erika tie the knot?! That wonderful!!! Make sure you tell me all about it. Oh and tell Erika that if she has time, I want to hear how all the wedding plans and stuff are going from the bride's point of view!

I had my very first baptism on Sunday!! This one I was here for the whole time!!! Can you believe it?! I have only been here for 3 weeks! (YAY!) It was excellent! And I truly was overwhelmed with happiness! I was sitting there and was actually thinking about you and dad and how VERY grateful I am to you both for raising me in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I can see even more clearly now how much of a blessing that was!! I thank you both from the bottom of my heart!! Also, Yvonne came to Sacrament Meeting yesterday! It was a really good day. And there's this less-active woman named Mary who is the sweetest and she's teaching me Scottish! haha I’m really excited to learn how to imitate it (but that doesn't mean I'll have an accent!). Things are going amazingly great and I am SOOOO happy to be here and nowhere else! I love you mom and dad and I cannot even begin to thank you enough for all that you have done for me. Thank you and I love you!!! Tell Steven, Sheila, Mike, Erika, and Charlie I say Hi!!!

Rachel's First Baptism!

Hey!
So Our President wouldn’t let us work when it was the World cup football game against England and USA so he actually let us watch the game! It was great but the game was alright but it was a great experience! It has been really crazy here with the World Cup it’s like the 4th of July but just in England! There are Flags EVERYWHERE! They get really into it ;)

Thank you soo much for the letters that you have sent and that Google maps/earth is really nifty! The church I go to is on 110 Altrincham Road so hopefully you can take a look! haha That’s great, glad you can virtually be here with me!

Mom! I looove getting your letters! They are so wonderful and I love the set up you have in the kitchen! haha Wow it looks great! It also looks like we're going to be doing Mormons Helping Hands as well here in Wythenshawe Park! So I guess since I didn't get to do it in Montalvo I get to do it in England! Hopefully I'm talking about the same thing!

Haha I finally got a letter from Lauren, it’s all good though and it was Wonderful to hear from her!! It really made me laugh; she'll get a letter soon when I get a chance to write one!

So the plans have been going great with the wedding Open house!! That’s wonderful! I'm glad that the grave is still living on haha! (Actually it isn't but she hasn't heard that yet! I had the missionaries fill it in for me!) But it sounds like you had to get quite a few things for it but I bet it will look great! I expect to see lots of pictures! And I can't wait for the New addition to our family!

Work is great here! I love it! I had my first baptism of two people that I help teach! It was amazing! It's the Pepper Family and the husband was a less active coming back into the church again and we baptized the wife Kay, and the son who's 19, Jason! They have a younger son Nathan and Keytlyn (weird spelling) but Nathan is 6 who is full of energy and Loves the church and Keytlyn is 3 and has Down syndrome and has the biggest smile in the world and is always soo happy! Their family has been strengthened soo much when they have been taking the lessons and they are solid! It is wonderful to see the change in Jason who looves the YSA activities.

It is truly amazing to see how the gospel really can bless families if we let it. Being here I have seen many broken homes and broken people. People who have no values or standards of any sort and some who just don't care. There are many who are so miserable and it’s heartbreaking to see all these different types of people. And even though we try to help all these people to know they can find happiness and build a strong family and through the commandments we can find peace nothing can change in their lives if they don’t do anything about it, refuse to change, or don’t help themselves. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have and I have never realized how much I took it for granted until I came here. I am blessed with the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation, The Atonement, and the revelations the Prophets receive for us.

There are some who I have met that are prepared by our Father in Heaven and are eager to change their lives and its beautiful when you see the true change of heart that takes place in them. But it would be ok if I didn't meet any of those people who want to have the gospel because being here would still be worth it. It is so rewarding to be here and to share my purpose which is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel and just to let them know what makes me happy and that I know it can make them happy too.

I met a man the other day in the cold misty morning in Piccadilly Gardens the other day and as I stopped to talk with him he look at me with such curiosity while I was speaking and asked why I was smiling so much, I just told him it's because of this beautiful message that I share that through the Book of Mormon we can find greater peace and happiness in this life. He looked at me with true sincerity in his eyes and asked, “You really think that book can bring me real happiness in this life?” I bore my testimony that I know it can.

People notice when others are happy and the example we all set as members of this great gospel, just smiling makes all the difference and having a firm testimony! It’s amazing how we can make a difference in people’s lives if we just open our mouths! I looove being here it’s amazing! I looove this gospel! I know this church is true!!

World Cup again and more...

TERESA - Mother and Father dearest!

How are you guys doing? I hope everything is going well! I love hearing from you so constantly mom, I’m pretty sure that NO ONE can compete with your consistency in writing! I always look forward to receiving your letters. By the way, I loved that talk by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf -Your Happily Ever After. Thank you so much for those talks, they really help! Thanks by the way for sending our farewell talks. (Did you post them on the blog by any chance? That would be a good idea!). Thanks also mom for sending the responses to the blogs. I love reading what people have written, it makes things more personal and I can get feedback from a lot of different people, which is nice :). I got a letter from Erika this week and I was surprised and so excited about that!! That really made me feel good. And I loved hearing the happenings with the wedding plans and the moving in and all that from her standpoint, it was great! Also thank you sooooooo much mom for sending the package with all my random requests. I haven't gotten it yet, but I’m looking forward to receiving it! And thanks for the clothes. And no worries, I'll look around hear from now on if I have any problems, cause I don’t want it to cost a lot of money or anything. But thanks anyway!

So yeah the work is moving along! The World Cup HAS made things a little more difficult for sure! Especially when America played England. All the Scots were rooting for USA, hahaha, they definitely didn’t want the English to win! But the U.S. won apparently, (they did not win but tied!) so everyone’s happy about that :) except the English of course. But people are always watching the games since there are like 3 a day! I’m always worried that people are going to be mad when we go clapping on doors cause they are watching the game! But oh well, there has to be someone who’s not watching right?

But things are going good with our investigator, Helen. She is on track to be baptized this next Sunday! And this will be my first official baptism where I taught her the whole time!! I’m so excited for it! To see the changes she has made and the happiness that has come to her because of it has been wonderful to see! She’s really dedicated too. When we taught the Law of Chastity and said that our bodies were temples of God and that we must treat them with the utmost respect; like taking out piercing that are anywhere but once in your ears, she took out her eyebrow piercing right then and threw it in the bin! It was amazing! She just did it and that was great, and an example to me.

So things are going well also with this one less-active named Yvonne Cavin. She stopped going to church because of personal reasons but has missed sacrament ever since. Her husband and a few of her sons still go though. But she knows she’s too stubborn to go back, but she fully admits she needs and want too! We kept telling her that the struggle is within herself and that Satan is the only person telling her not to go. And she totally gets it. I love it cause since she's a straight talker I can be like "What you're saying is ridiculous and the painful part is that you know it!" She doesn't get offended because she fully agrees and knows what she really needs to do. I only just met her but I already care for her sooo much! And we are going to do all we can to help her; she’s not like the other less-actives I usually see. The ones where they just don’t care enough. She does, so I really feel that with the Lord's help, we can make a difference!

Those are the main things at the moment. Still trying to find more people to teach! And we will I know we will eventually! haha I love you all and hope life is going nifty in sunny California!!

World Cup and more...

RACHEL - Hey mom and dad!!

The work is great! I really feel like being a real missionary is becoming second nature to me now! And I am loving that! My companion and I have about 6 investigators that went to church with us yesterday! It was great and 4 with a baptism date! I'm trying to learn quickly how to teach better cause I really want to be a good missionary but it seems like its taking a little while though, but I know I will improve!

Our mission president knew that we wouldn't be able to get ANY work done during the World Cup so he let us watch the one game on Saturday between America and England! It was great! But man, I feel bad for the goalie of England though, really bad, hope he doesn't take it too hard! But can you ask Aunt Holly what Connor and Tyler want again? I want to make sure I will get them the right "Kit"? I'm not sure but the details about it would be great! But I am actually kind of glad that it was a tie to be honest because either way you look at it England would just give us a hard time while we're proselyting if we lost and that would distract from the spirit or no one would talk to us if USA did win. haha So I'm glad that we're on the same level. But yeah, I can imagine how tough it was for you and dad! It has been crazy here! It is like the 4th of July here but in England! It is great! All these English flags everywhere we go!

With the camera I don't have the tool that I can put my memory card in, isn't that how it goes? But in the meantime if there is no suggestions on what to do or how to do it, I won't know how to do the pictures! So I would looove suggestions!

Wow it takes 2 weeks to send things here? I will try to send pics to you in the mail then maybe if I have time, but I got a letter from Erica! Tell her thank you and that she is soo sweet! I loved hearing from her! (Hey mom did you show her the restoration DVD and bear your testimony about it?) Just wondering :)

Yesterday after church my companion and I were tracting. Before, at church, we were both quite tired. I was sitting next to an investigator of ours who could barely hear so I had to keep telling him in his ear what all the speakers were saying which was different but just fine :) After church we both prayed to Heavenly Father that we would wake up and become more energized. All of a sudden in the middle of tracting it starts pouring down hard! haha I was surprised about how I reacted to it! I was having a blast tracting in the pouring rain and we laughed to ourselves how Heavenly Father has a sense of humor!

This work is great and it is truly beautiful how the gospel can really work in our lives if we let it! I have a testimony about the Holy Ghost and how truly powerful it is. Like the experience I shared last letter it is something we take for granted sometimes and maybe don't even realize how far we've strayed from it at times in our lives. We have to listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost or should we choose to ignore them we do not deserve and will not receive the guidance and blessings that it gives us in our lives everyday. Just don't question on acting on the promptings and ignore them cause they might not make sense to us at the time cause we will sometimes soon realize what we missed out on in helping others or ourselves.

June 7, 2010

Hello Family!

So I know I’m already doing the e-mail thing but I wanted to write as well! So things are continuing to go great. I feel like I am extremely lucky to have the companion/trainer that I’ve been given! Sister Nelson and I get on so wonderfully together! She is funny and makes the work more enjoyable, which is nice! As you know, before I came out here, Rach and I had a problem with being idle and we would sleep a lot. Well since we are always doing something it has kind of gotten my mind off of sleep… well not completely. Ha ha I still struggle with staying awake sometimes! I feel tired most of the time! Ahhh its crazy difficult! But my companion is nice and fun so the work goes by quicker :-).

So I got a letter from Dad and it was sent, I believe, on May 20^, ‘10. And I got it June 3, ’10. So that is the amount of time it takes to get to me I think. I really appreciate the letters from you both. It has been really helping me with remaining focused on the work as well as still letting me know and being a part of what is going on back home! Thanks again for that.

So I was wondering if maybe (if it’s not too much to ask) you get a little book together of our family’s testimonies and some of my friends too. I would like to read them at times that I may struggle ya know? I think they would be fun to readtoo on how the gospel has strengthened their lives and what they do each day to remain strong in the gospel. So Mom, that’s a project for you! Haha And if you want you can embellish it with whatever you’d like. Thanks Mom! And thanks Dad for sending stuff I could use in talks, they are really enlightening and will be helpful when/if I need them! Thanks so much!

Also Mom can you send me a list of everyone’s addresses? I want to write people but I have no idea where to send them! So if you could get a list together of everyone’s home addresses, email and all that that would be great! And if you could include like Lauren’s info too that would be nice. :-) Thanks! Ha ha, I can see you right now rolling your eyes ha ha.

I love you Mom and Dad! So how’s Steven and Sheila doing? Are they doing ok? I hope so; they should really come back to church. Life is so much better when you live it correctly! And they will be happier too! Anyways, having Rach gone has been easier than I thought. I try not to think about it too much in fear I’ll miss her more! But it’s been really good so far. The lord has blessed me with the strength I need! So yeah, keep sending me her letter too!

Oh and can you send me quick and easy recipes of things that I loved back home? But importantly thins that I can freeze and then eat later ya know? So thanks, Mom! You are the best! Oh and when you send people’s information, can you send me their birthdates too? So I can know whose birthday it is? Thanks you! Well things are going nicely so far but could you maybe send some talks about not getting discouraged? Or even better, some personal experiences you had on your missions and what you did to get through them? Just in case, I think it would be nice to have those to read! Totally Blessed

TERESA - Hey!!

You're right mom! The Lord has totally blessed me with not missing home and Rachel too badly! It has been quite the relief, let me tell you! I think about home and Rach A LOT but it doesn't really hurt though, ya know? Which has been great :)

I am in the mission field! It feels like I've been here forever, yet still like I showed up yesterday! It is really weird. But I’m getting used to everything still. I read Colton's (Teresa & Rachel’s cousin who just returned home from his mission to Colorado!) last letter and I must admit that I was jealous of his adoring feelings about his mission. I so desperately want to feel that way about mine and I hope it'll come soon! But then again maybe I should give myself a break; I've only been in this country for 2 weeks I think? So I think I have time to grow that love hahaha.

So that's crazy that both our comps are from Rexburg ID!! I showed Sister Nelson and she may know her! My comp may know a Nadia or Stephanie Bowen. Do you know which one it is??

Anyways I LOVE my Companion! She is the best and is super fun! She makes the work enjoyable and she’s totally funny. I really lucked out getting her as a trainer. She knows how to work and use time wisely (something I'm not that strong in!) So I'm really hoping she'll rub off on me and I'll inherit all that she's become good at!

We are teaching a woman named Helen and she’s in her 40s. She is scheduled to be baptized and we are really looking forward to it! She is super receptive and easy to teach. So this is my very first time teaching lessons from the beginning with an investigator! Yay yay! Things are going well and now our biggest task (it always seems) is to find, find, find people to teach! I'm kind of getting used to people rejecting our message and when they actually do stop to listen, I’m like "Hey! Right on!" hahaha It’s been good though. I never let the people get me down because I’m out here finding those who are ready and prepared to come unto Christ. So even if just one person stops to listen, that’s good enough for me!

But yeah, Things are going swell. I'm sending a hand written letter to home so be on the look out for that. Also, I made a list of things that I would really like to get! hehehe.

-Crystal light, the 8 quarts box, with either lemonade or pink lemonade (or both!)

-Look Bars :)

-A 4th of July Banner (although I'm in Scotland, I'm still a Patriot! And it is one of my favorite Holidays!! So I can't go without that good old Independence Day feeling!)

-EFY CDs. We follow the white handbook in our mission so EFY is ok. Can I get "The Greatest Gift" one and Rach & I made a mix of church songs on our iTunes. Could you burn a few for me and anything churchy I might like, please?

I included a few more things in my letter I’m going to send so you'll read that later. And by the way, the picture thing on the computer only works if she brought the cables with her. It's the cable you use to charge the camera except you don’t use the big chargy thing you plug into the wall, you don’t need that. All you need is that cable and then you plug it right into the computer. And if she really needs help she can ask someone who works in the library. (Rachel can’t figure out how to do pictures from the field yet!)

Well I love you loads and I thank you for all that you have done for us mom and dad!! Thanks for sending us each other’s e-mails too!! I love you and hope you're doing well!!

Different Time and Place

RACHEL - Hello!

It was so nice to get letters from you, Mom, and Dad and even Grandma and Grandpa Coombs (even though they said not to write them back haha ok then)! Loved your talk dad! I thought it was great! And I did love the part where you were talking about the symphony bar haha clever! (Steve spoke on Mother’s Day and we did the Mother’s Day gifts – Symphony Bars!) I was thinking about what you were saying more and more about feeling about how you felt in Holland like it was a different time and place. At first I didn’t feel that way, I felt like in some areas I was I could imagine being in some different parts of California but then I went to Knutsbury and that was by the countryside and I felt it at that moment like I was in a different time and place and knew I wasn't in California haha! As you both know I am a fan of the beach but I was surprised how taken I was with the beauty of the country as I drove through the tight windy roads. That was when I really felt it, just thought I would let you know Dad!

Oh and driving is great! I feel really comfortable driving and I think that when I get back I will start to drift to the left side of the road haha, we'll see. I have tried to do car contacting and its fun! haha When you have the person in the car next to you roll down their window so you can try to share the gospel with them as quick as you can before the light turns green! So that has been nice and the work has been great!

When I first came here I had a baptism that weekend and committed two people to baptism! They are an amazing family who are excited to join the church!

And NOOOO You can't fill in the grave!! (The girls dug a grave in our side yard for a movie they were going to make last fall! I would say it is about 4 or 5 feet deep and big enough to fit a coffin!) Haha We need that for when can decide how we want to use it for when we come back but probably as I speak you're filling it in right now :) I guess that’s ok.

My email address needs to be made clear that my mission won't let anyone email me who is not family so no friends but they can write letters to me!

The first Wednesday I was here a woman turned to me and said that an elder from California baptized her and her husband and that that elder is very dear to them and is still in contact with them. They said they know that California is a big place so they aren't even going to try to name where he is from. But I said to just give it a try and I’ll see if I know and I was shocked when the words "Saratoga" came from their lips! (No one knows where that is here so that’s why I just jump to the next biggest city which is San Francisco even though its about 45 mines away from me ha) and what did you know; they were talking about Mike Hulme! (Mike, his wife Beth and sons are in our ward!) They were the Marsons.

Mom I love reading your email entries keep sending them and dad too! I would love to hear more! And thanks for giving those questions to Bro Mouritsen! He's a lifesaver! I never realized how lucky I was to have a teacher like him, he taught me so much and I am grateful!

Yesterday we had an experience. We went tracting in this street and we felt good about it even though by the end of it we didn’t have any success but it was ok. Then we ran into a woman who had heard some incorrect things about the church even though she was still very nice. We gave her a card and our number so that if she had any questions to call us. She called us that night and basically called to warn us about how we are being led by the adversary and I was left to deal with the phone conversation on my own. All I could do was bear my testimony that know that this church is true and that The Holy Ghost has testified this to me and so on. When I got off the phone I felt a loss, the Spirit seemed to have left while I was on the phone with this woman who would barely let me say anything about what I knew to be true. I felt sad, miserable so much that I was moved to tears. At that moment I began to kneel down and pray for the spirit to be back with me again and what I know to be true confirmed to me again. And as soon as I did, no more than a moment later, the Spirit brought its warmth and peace and truth back to me. I learned something that night that so many are going to try to tear the Spirit I have away from me and the adversary is working harder than ever. But as a missionary I don't really realize how much I am blessed with the Spirit stronger than ever with my calling to serve. I have never felt that great and instant loss of the spirit leaving me, but how quickly it can return if I pray with sincerity for it to be back with me. I felt that I can't imagine feeling that way for my whole life or ever loosing it again and how important it is to bring this feeling of comfort to all those that are missing this in their life. I am blessed, I know I have the spirit with me as I was set apart to serve my Father in heaven. The Book of Mormon is true. I am a daughter of God and I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.
